In an effort to slow down the large volume of emails we receive daily that tend to ask the same things we thought we should put together a few questions and answers. If you can't find an answer here then feel free to email us.  
 

Q - Where are you guys based?
A - Although we have news editors from several different countries, Design is Kinky is proudly Australian. It was started in Sydney and remains there today. We have our office in East Sydney.

 
 


Q - Why didn't you link my site?
A - The DiK news editors are no different to everyone else. We have our own favourite styles and our own likes and dislikes just like anyone does. Therefore our only real criteria when choosing what we link is if we personally (as individuals) like the site design. Or if we feel that it is an interesting project that our viewers should be made aware of. It's really that simple. There is no political agenda, it's a matter of personal taste. We cannot please all our viewers so we simply do our best by posting things that we feel are interesting, for what ever reason, and hope that people make up their own minds about the sites.

So if your site wasn't posted it could have been for a million different reasons. Our advice is to say "Screw them!" and continue doing what you do. We are just one little site amongst billions so don't take it to hard and try again at a later date. Whatever you do though don't continually email us to try to 'force' us to link you (you'd be suprised at how many people do this). We will just get pissed off and it'll probably ruin your chances for good.

  
 
Q - Can I submit a cover?
A - Yes you can. We accept cover submissions from any one and at any time. Please check the Submit section to get the details. There is a certain amount of quality control so not all covers that are submitted will be posted. We look for covers that are well thought out and that push the style of the person designing it. Oh and we don't really like covers that have images of naked women either as we have had way to many of them submitted over the years. Just because our name has 'kinky' in it doesn't mean the cover needs to be naughty :)		  
 
Q - Why has my mugshot not been posted?
A - See the Mugshot FAQ for all Mugshot related questions.		  
 
Q - Why didn't you reply to my email when I asked for feedback on my site?
A - We recieve a large number of links every day. It is hard enough finding time to check them all and therefore we do not have time to reply to every email with feedback. We will do out best if you ask for specific feedback or advice rather than just a link in the news but cannot respond to every request.		  
 
Q - Can you send me your logo?
A - If you look to the right on the main page (down below the mailing list) you'll see a download link for our logo. Choose your system and download our logo as an EPS file.		  
 
Q - Can you host my site?
A - Sorry, no we can't. We use up enough bandwith as it is and the good folk at MediaTemple would probably (definitely?) kill us if we tried hosting other peoples sites. It doesn't cost that much these days so check out MediaTemple as they have some great pricing plans (plug plug).
