What do you know about Australian web designers or graphic designers:

I don't know that much, I have seen some stuff on the net but I could not remember the names of the authors. I know Lennie Loosejocks from E zone. It is made by two brothers and they really rule.

How did you first learn of the internet:

Looking for skateboard videos and stuff.

What do you like/hate about the net:

I like the possibility to see different parts of the world without moving. I like best to travel fisically but I don't have always the money to do it. So I to surf on the net and meet different cultures, see many styles of design from all over the world, and show my works to these huge number of viewers.

What drew you to web design:

The possibility to make interactive design. I have been very impressed from the first edition of the Remediproject.

What is your working style (Photoshop, etc):

I use a lot Photshop, I connect my camera to my computer and download all the pictures that I have made during the day. I use Illustrator a lot too. Then I use Flash. This program is so fun! If I need something else I do it with my hands. I don't like to depend 100% from a computer. I painted a lot before and I still do. Because when you do something all alone you feel a lot better when you finish it. I am always stoked when I paint.

Do you think that Flash is cool or overused:
Flash is cool. It is not overused. It is the only program that gives full control and small size of files on the web, so it is normal that the people use it. It is a good program you are able to do all kinds of styles with it, animations, interaction, cartoons etc.

Do you prefer technologically advanced sites or sites with simple but good design:

Site with good design and good contents. If it is technologically advanced too then it is better.

Do you have any cool design tips:

Use COLORS! Colors are so much important in a design work. There are millions of them on your monitor, you have just to choose and try.

Favourite sites:

A lot, www.atlasmag.com www.typographic.com www.combine.org
www.volumeone.com www.once-upon-a-forest.com, www.crew4.com
www.bornmag.com

Favourite designers: (Web or otherwise)

I like Jimmy Chen a lot! Amy Franceshini she does everything well, print, web, cd-rom etc. Matt Owens, George Larou.

Design styles you hate:

Filters and filters in Photoshop.

Do you think web designers will become the design elite:

Yes, but I don't know if webdesigner will do the same as we know now. Maybe it will be all different from now, but I think that who started to do webdesign now will be a step ahead of the others.

Do you see yourself as an influential web designer:

Yes like all the others out there. I am influenced by everyone. The web is a place that allows you to see different things from all over the world in a few seconds. It is impossible to not be influenced by someone else when you get lost in it.

How would you like to be remembered:

Like a good guy, like 'Do you remeber Niko?'...'Oooh yes! He was a good guy!'

Any final comments:

This earth is a stage. Each person has his own part to play...Greatness doesn't lie in our role, but in how well we play it. he he he....

Thanks Nicola!
